Women’s Thai Kickboxing Classes & Training

Thai kickboxing, or Muay Thai, is a combat sport that comes out of Thailand. You can contact us to learn about this sport and schedule a free, private introductory class!  We offer Muay Thai classes at all four of our Houston-area locations, including Houston WestheimerHouston Greenway PlazaKingwood and Baytown.

What is Muay Thai?

This sport differs from many of the most well-known martial arts such as karate and jiu-jitsu. Muay Thai utilizes very precise techniques that emphasize the hands, elbows, knees, and legs. A Muay Thai fighter will have full control over his or her limbs to subdue an opponent. Muay Thai is also known as Thai kickboxing and has influenced other forms of kickboxing as a sport, thanks to its very efficient methods of tackling a wide variety of other martial arts.

What You Will Learn

Elite MMA’s women’s Thai kickboxing classes focus on teaching you how to take control of your body and utilize it to make quick moves for attack and defense. While it is labeled a combat sport, Muay Thai is very good for teaching fitness and flexibility as well. You will need to accomplish fitness goals and stretching techniques in order to perfect the different moves and styles you will learn.

In this way, learning Thai kickboxing is a way of improving your body, dealing with stress, and understanding how to defend yourself against an opponent of any size.
