Martial Arts Experience: Romel has been training most of his life, primarily in Muay Thai, almost non-stop since 1979. Trained in JKD & Kali since 1997. Train in many arts over the years such as: Yaw-Yan, Kung-Fu, Japanese Karate, and TKD.
Personal Accomplishments: Worked the last 12 years as a physical therapist in various settings, such as sports medicine, work hardening, acute care, acute rehab, skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care facilities. Assisted in teaching self-defense for Houston Community College system.
Romel was born in the Philippines and came to America when he was 7 years old. Growing up in New York City and New Jersey made Romel all too familiar with adversity and difficulties, and this is where his training in martial arts took root. After high school, he came to Texas with his family and has been honing his Muay Thai skills ever since. Romel's training style involves a cerebral approach.
