Elite MMA Program – Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Title:

Elite MMA Program – Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Description:

A lot of parents bring in kids for a variety of reasons: self-discipline, they want their kids to focus, they just want their kids to do something, or the kids themselves are like “yeah, I want to be a Ninja.” The program is meant to fit in all of those aspects of martial arts. To have the whole family do this, I mean this is our gym. This is our… this is really it’s kind of our home away from home and it’s what we do together when we’re not at home. It’s different than say a karate program, where karate is like a striking martial art. Jiu Jitsu is a grappling-based martial art. One of the main things we tell people is that you don’t have to worry about your kids getting kicked and punched in the face, because all it takes is that one time and then they’re just done, right? My kids have grown up in this community and they’ve made so many friends. It’s pretty cool. Because you get to know people and to have this common interest is pretty incredible. On top of teaching them martial arts, our main focus for our kids is their mental development. We focus a lot on respect, self-control, self-discipline. The kids program should really be mandatory for all children. We even have the kids do creeds where they talk in front of the class so they’re working on public speaking. We teach them how to focus. So they’re just creating new habits that make them stronger and make them more successful later on in their futures. It’s just so important for her to get out here and learn how to do these things and for it to just be a normal standard to grow up strong and be able to defend yourself and be confident.
